One of the most renowned troubles causing pain to
G-d fearing Jewish married couples is the need for
support and medical counseling in the field of infertility.
However, they yearn for a suitable source where this
assistance is given in accordance with Halacha.
HaRav Reb Nachum Tenenbaum has given over his heart
to these couples, to be their achiezer and achisamach
- their source of support. To this purpose he has
established Zir Chemed, to operate in the field with
doctors who work according to Halacha and in conjunction
with Talmidei Chachamim who are experts in Halacha. |

This letter is being written to encourage and
strengthen the hands of the dear and noble man,
HaRav HaChashuv Moreinu HaRav Nachum Tenenbaum,
whose heart has directed hum to undertake the
following good and essential projects.
He has established “Zir Chemed”
which is already the right hand of those couples
who have not yet been blessed by Hashem with
“Zera shel Kayamma” – a continuing
generation. Many things need to be said regarding
how important and essential it is to establish
such an institute, that will hold out hope,
support and comfort to those broken hearts who
are running from one doctor to another and do
not know what to do or where to go next.

As it is known
this area of Halacha is a maze-like network consisting
of complicated, detailed and stringent rulings. In
addition to these problems, the financial burden that
is imposed upon these couples is astronomical, Hashem
should save us.
For all of these reasons, this G-d fearing man, Nachum
Tenenbaum, established this foundation to act as a
haven to those in need of this assistance ad all that
is connected with it, whether it is expert medical
counseling being dispensed y the most prominent doctors
who will advise them in accordance with Halacha or
providing examinations and tests etc.. at their facilities
which will enable them to do what is necessary in
one go, or granting financial aid which will lighten
as much as possible the couples’ heavy load.
Most importantly, they have engaged a doctor, a G-d
fearing man, who is a specialist, HaRav HaChashuv,
Dr. Boruch Brooks (May Hashem guard and protect him)
who will supervise with punctilious supervision all
t hat transpires in the area of treatment to ensure
that everything, down to the smallest detail, is performed
strictly according to Halacha.
In addition to all the above, they also have a Halachic
advisory board, whose members are Talmidei Chachamim,
who are masters in these halachic areas, to closely
supervise and answer any questions that may arise
during individual treatments. This project is so vital
that its magnitude cannot be estimated.
In light of all this, the development and management
of this important undertaking will involve hefty costs,
and in this regard, I call upon everyone, in a holy
proclamation to our brethren that believe, Bnei Yisroel,
in whichever place they may be found –may G-d
on High shield them – to fully recognize the
merit and the responsibility of this and to take upon
their shoulders and participate in this great and
prominent mitzvah, which includes within it many other
mitzvos.
Happy are those who will join in and become partners
in the establishing and developing of this great and
important charitable undertaking, and all those who
actively participate in it. They should be blessed
with bounty, blessings, success in all their endeavors
and a long life; and may Hashem speedily bring salvation
to the community and the individuals.
May all of us together merit to see the salvation
of Am Yisroel and the coming of the redemption, Mashiach
Tzidkeinu, Amen.

I am full of appreciation to the man of many
deeds, the pursuer of charity and goodly deeds,
HaRav Nachum Tenenbaum 'Shetichye', who has
dedicated his heart to an important cause –
to stand and be “an achiezer and an achisamach”
– a brother who lends support and a helping
hand to couples whom Hashem Yisborach has not
yet granted a continuing generation of children.
He has founded the organisation “Zir
Chemed”.

The
aim of this organisation is to extend aid and support
to those same brokenhearted couples, to provide solace
and solutions through the finest and most prominent
doctors. Alongside these with stand masters of Halacha,
expert in these matters, that will closely liaise
with any questions that may possibly arise. This in
itself is a very great thing.
Within the organisation of “Zir Chemed”
a doctor of embryology, an expert in the field of
fertility, G-d fearing Dr. Boruch Brooks, operates
the medical aspect under the dictates of Halacha.
It is certainly a mitzvah to take a part in helping
this organisation succeed.
I therefore call forth to our brothers if the house
of Israel in all places where they are to be found,
to see the participation in this great mitzvah as
a great merit and an obligation; and all those who
support this great cause will be blessed with a worthy
generation amidst bounty and nachas.

I have been approached by men of worth, whose
aim is to serve the public – through the
Zir Chemed charitable organisation, under the
leadership of HaRav Nachum Tenenbaum, Shlita.
They have presented us with this important
proposal of theirs, which is practical and will
be a true support – an achisamach –
a faithful counselor and a source of strength
to those young couples who have not yet been
blessed with a continuing generation of children
- zera shel kayama.

These young couples
constantly need to seek the assistance of doctors
and hospitals in their ongoing search for the remedy
that will allow them to achieve their life’s
aspirations. They want to merit raising boys and girls
who, with their observance of Torah and Mitzvos, will
perpetuate the golden chain of our holy people.
The colleagues of the Zir Chemed Fertility Clinic
are professional people who have extensive knowledge
in their respective fields of expertise together with
an accumulation of experience in the treatment of
fertility problems and are in contact with famous
doctors. They are achieving wonders in this area.
And, most importantly, all of this is being done according
to Halacha, as passed down from generation to generation,
under the guidance and supervision of our outstanding
Torah leaders.
Therefore, it is a Mitzva to support Zir Chemed and
to further strengthen their activities which are a
true chessed, according to the Torah.

Our Matriarch, Rochel Imeinu, of blessed memory,
said “Give me children, and if not, I
am dead”. Our sages explain that the situation
(the pain and the suffering) of the childless
is close to that of Pikuach Nefesh – one
whose life is endangered. Thus, let us give
respect and support to the most precious man,
Nachum is his name, and Nichumim – consolations
– are his achievements, HaRav Nachum Tenenbaum,
Shlita – may he be blessed with long life,
who established Zir Chemed to hasten the coming
of Mashiach Tzidkeinu by increasing the kosher
births in Am Yisroel, because “Ain Ben
David ba ad sheyichleh nehsamot baguf”
– Ben David will not come until all those
souls destined to descend into this world have
been completely expended.
